Material & Form Studies
Material and form exist in constant dialogue. Every material carries its own logic, resistance, texture, weight, memory, and behavior, while form emerges as the visible consequence of engaging with those conditions. Material & Form Studies explores this relationship through experimentation, observation, and making.
Rather than treating materials as passive surfaces, the process investigates how wood bends, how metal reflects light, how plaster fractures, how fabric folds, or how biodegradable matter transforms over time. Form is not imposed arbitrarily; it develops through negotiation between intention, structure, gravity, environment, and process.
These studies function as a space for research and exploration—where prototypes, fragments, tests, and unfinished objects become part of the creative language. Through cutting, casting, layering, assembling, carving, scanning, or fabrication, each experiment reveals new spatial and sensory possibilities.
The objective is not simply to produce objects, but to understand how material intelligence can shape perception, atmosphere, and meaning. Material & Form Studies therefore becomes both a technical and conceptual practice: an investigation into structure, tactility, scale, rhythm, and the emotional presence of form in space.
At its core, this practice values curiosity, iteration, and direct engagement with matter. It embraces process as an essential part of creation—where experimentation, failure, and transformation become tools for discovering new artistic and architectural possibilities.
