FEATURED WORK
LAYERA
Layera is a research and fabrication system developed around the relationship between digital form, material translation, and physical assembly. Rooted in sculptural practice and advanced fabrication workflows, Layera explores how complex three-dimensional geometries can be transformed into buildable layered structures through precision slicing, structural logic, and material optimization.
Operating between software and making, Layera investigates the intersection of computational processes and hands-on fabrication. The system enables digital forms to be analyzed, segmented, and reconstructed through layered components, creating a bridge between virtual modeling and physical production.
More than a technical tool, Layera functions as a methodology for understanding form through construction. By decomposing objects into sequential layers, internal structures, contours, and spatial relationships become visible. This process reveals how fabrication itself can become part of the artistic and conceptual language of a work.
Layera supports experimentation across sculpture, architecture, prototyping, and large-scale fabrication. Through CNC machining, digital slicing, modular assembly, and material studies, the system allows complex forms to emerge through repeatable and scalable processes while preserving the tactile and physical qualities of the final object.
At its core, Layera reflects an interest in precision, process, and material intelligence—where digital technologies are not used to replace craftsmanship, but to expand the possibilities of how forms are conceived, fabricated, and experienced in physical space.
